Admissions for BEd
Eligibility
A candidate who has passed BSc/BA degree examination of Gulburga university
or any other university in India or abroad, recognised as equivalent to 10+2+3
pattern of education, obtaining 50% (45% in case SC/ST/category 1& physically
handicapped) of the aggregate marks in the three years of the degree
examination shall be eligible for admission to the BEd course.
In respect of admission to Bachelor of Education course unless he/she has
obtained a degree in bachelor of Arts/Science with any one language or at
least two subjects out of three electives specified below:

Admissions
All admissions are subject to approval by Gulburga University, Gulburga.
Application for admission must be submitted in the prescribed form
available in the college office.
Filled in applications should be accompanied by attested copies of the
following certificates.
- SSLC marks card
- 11 year PUC marks card
- All the three years BA/BSc marks card
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration Certificate (for non-Karnataka students)
- Caste and Income Certificate (if any)
- Passing/Provisional Certificate
Duration
The course of study for the BEd Degree shall extend over a period of one
academic year comprising of not less than 220 days including the days of
Citizenship Training Camp and Education Tour. A student shall be
considered to have completed a year, if he/she has attended not less than 85%
of the number of working periods in each of the subjects comprising the course
during the said year and if his/her conduct and progress have been
satisfactory. Students, who fail to complete the course in the manner
stated above shall not be allowed to take their examination.

Admissions for DEd
The institute/college offers DEd course for both men and women candidates
(co-ed) with Kannada as medium of instruction. The duration of the course
is 2 academic years, besides an internship programme for at least 30 days in the
nearby higher primary schools.
Eligibility
The minimum qualification required for the DEd course is a pass in 2nd PUC
with 50% of marks and Kannada as the first language or Kannada as the medium
of instruction at SSLC or PUC level.
Allotment of Seats
Of the total number of seats, Arts and Science students share 50% of the
seats. Women candidates shall fill up a minimum of 50% seats.
Number of seats available in take capacity, will be as per the norms of NCTE.
Procedure for Applying
Candidates should fill the application form as instructed:
- Applications shall be submitted in the prescribed form issued by the
institute.
- Fill in capital letters - handwriting should be neat, legible - avoid
erasing and overwriting. Use only smooth blue ball pen to fill the
form.
- Items 1 to 4 to be filled up as in SSLC marks card.
- Incomplete applications received within the due date and applications
received after the due date by post will not be considered.
Enclosures along with the application
- Attested copies of consolidated marks card of SSLC board examination.
- Attested copies of consolidated marks card of 2nd PUC board examination.
- Three self-addressed postal covers to intimate the date of interview.
Applications duly filled in are to be submitted in person or by registered
post so as to reach the college office before the last date.
Selection Procedure
A selection committee prepares a provisional list of eligible candidates,
based on the certified information of the candidates. The selection
committee then interviews them and conducts a simple written test on all the
subjects studied at the High School level to gauge the mental ability and
knowledge of the candidate in these subjects.
On the date of interview, the candidates shall produce all the original
certificates mentioned, for verification. Candidates selected as per
final selection list, who desire to get admitted shall pay the prescribed fees
and submit all the relevant original documents within the date mentioned.
